OK, I was going to make some suggestions; however, after reading the other suggestions (all of whom I have never heard) I figure you will never have heard of mine!!! But what the heck....Leona Lewis, Jason Mraz. Just a couple so you will know what the old folks are listening to!

That is a GREAT question! My MUST have is Kim Walker these days. Happy Day is my current fav. ALong with "I have Found"
I would also suggest the new fiction family album found here: http://www.fictionfamily.com/ It says, "Jon Foreman of Switchfoot and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek have come together to create FICTION FAMILY. Their self-titled debut album will be released on January 20 by ATO Records, and is available for PREORDER NOW. This marks the first full-length effort for the all-star duo. The album features 12 original tracks written, arranged and recorded by Watkins and Foreman at their homes in San Diego."
Keep in mind: I love Switchfoot and Erik loves NickelCreek, so it is quite the big hit around here.
Switchfoot's "this is home" is awesome.
I am also a big fan of KT Tunstall, but caution, there are swear words on some albums. Check out "Under the Weather" and "Hold On".
I love ADELE. Hometown Glory is great.
You're Beautiful by Phil Wickam is wonderful and would be great for your job.
New Soul by Yael Naim is familiar, but going to be a classic, I think. You might recognize it.
Robin Mark has good stuff.
I also love Misty Edwards, but that might be a bit too Charismaniac for ya. Wink!
Have fun and share with us what you find!

ahh c'mon that hurts!! Sad thing is i hated the stuff when i was growing up in the midwest.
But i'd say Dafft Punk has a lot of cool tunes to help with background to video stuff. Just an idea.
You can never go wrong with Carmen! haha
