Go with Typepad – WordPress is a pain in the neck to figure out and Blogger just doesn’t give you the controls you need.

Hi bobby,
I think you should stay with blogger rathur then go over to typepad. However wordpad is much like typepad…but free! I use it for my blog, go to http://thecall.wordpad.com and you’ll have a better idea of what wordpad is like.
You dont want to pay a monthly amount for a blog, it may not seem much, but it adds up. Maybe if you were running a business blog it would be worthwhile. Best of luck!

I like the different look. I wanted a different look but didn’t like what blogger had to offer so I went to eris designs (link on right side of my blog in credits). There I was able to creat a new template, copy it, and post it in the blogger template area in blogger. I didn’t have to pay for it and it seems to work great. I don’t like a lot of clutter so I choose not to post pics on the sides except for a bio photo of me.
The read lettering on the sidebars here is very difficult to read. I like the bigger picture of you and your wife.For my preferance, I don’t need to see pictures of books but I do appreciate a link in the sidebar.
On the concert: If I had to pick one it would be New Kids, but I personally don’t like any of them.
I was an early eighties girl! Van Halen, Journey, more my style.

I think you’ll like it Bobby. The categories, amazon wish list, music, reading list and all that stuff is fun to tinker with. I like the three column look, you can fit so much more linkwise onto your site.
I’ve never used anything but Typepad. I’ve watched my wife use blogger and she has been frustrated with it quite a bit lately.
Anywho…enjoy! I look forward to seeing your music and reading lists.

I liked the free version fine. But, then, I’m for doing things as inexpensively as possible!
I have been able to make adjustments to blogger to accomplish everything except scheduled posts. (Presumably, you can email to blogger…in that case, you could schedule emails to send to blogger. I’ve not had much luck emailing to blogger.)
I just recently converted to three column and am working on creating categories using blogger’s “blogthis!” I link to where the blog is hosted and whatever “teaser content” I want…I’m still in process on this, but have it set up.
I have the “blogthis!” link in my toolbar, and have created blogs for each of my “categories” so that I can easily chose where to crosslink.
So…since you can create any number of blogs you want using blogger, I also created separate blogs for each of the “photo albums” I wanted for each family member. I link to my own blogs and call them photo albums. I like them better than the Typepad ones I’ve viewed because they are full pics and you can just scroll down without having to load each pic separately from a small thumbnail.
Note: To post pics faster in blogger (lightening fast–flash technology), I use blogger’s “hello” program…you choose pics you want to post, which blog you want to send them to, and they are there in 2 secs. You may also post a one paragraph description.
I do like three column. Easy to find code for that doing a search, really.
I don’t particularly like narrow three columns personally mainly because I can type some lengthy content.
I like this –the red on grey and white on black is a little harder on my eyes when I tend to read…late at night!
I also eliminated bloggers toolbar at the top and was pleased to have it gone. Code also easy to find.
