I have something else in mind that I want to do for you.” Christianity doesn’t work like that. If God calls you do to something, you do it. Period.

If what you want to do for God primarily IS to do what he has for you, shouldn’t be much of an issue.
For me, that tends to be more of an excuse to minimize risk than it is a reality.
