Hey, cool link! I'm using Worshipplanning and have signed up with them through December. However, I'm thinking about a switch. I may consider this in the future.

I've been using Planning Center for about 2 months and I absolutely LOVE IT! At our church plant, it's really a little more than I need (though I find more use for it each week). I wish I would have had this for the past 4 years with a ministry of 80 people involved, it would have made life so much easier.
Everything is usually posted for us the Monday before the prospective weekend. I'm a part of the Creative Team, which plans out our pastor's messages anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks in advance. I know with our pastor though that anything is game until the Monday the week of, no matter how much else we've planned. I usually add songs as I think about them, so I may have a song selected for six weeks, but fill in the rest progressively over time and finalize it Monday of.

I have the same problem you do Bobby. I tend to plan the week of. I would like to plan a little more in advance, but our pastor is really slow at getting details of what his message really is. Sometimes I have a title to work off of, but that never gives me the true picture.
I do piece together plans for upcoming weeks by picking one or two songs I know I want to use in the rotation. That is what makes planningcenteronline.com awesome--you can plan in pieces, and change later, whatever. It is awesome!

Interesting that you write about this today. I am in the process of thinking about making this switch to Planningcenter.
As far as your question about planning out...?
I am with you. It is hard for me to plan that far out in advance without really knowing what my pastor is preaching on. That is what makes it difficult for me. Sometimes if we are in a series or I know I am going on vacation, I'll plan 3 weeks out...but that happens maybe once a year.

Planning Center RULES. Started using it last year, right after they released it at the Saddleback Worship Conference.
I can't even estimate how much time this program has saved us. Worth any price.
We fluctuate planning 2 and 3 weeks out so far. Trying to improve and make that stable.
