is not my girlfriend” argument towards much in the Christian/mainstream rock I feel do not understand fully the ways God has described His love for the church….

And for those that say it’s a “sloppy wet kiss” like I would give my son, the verse that follows doesn’t fit a father/son relationship. “My heart beats violently inside of my chest”??? I must say…I’m an “Unforseen Kiss” guy. I love the song, but that one verse has actually been the thing that has kept me from adding to our rotation.
I think it has to do a lot with the community you lead worship in and how well it connects. We are definitely not a “sloppy wet kiss” from heaven kind of people.
